WORLD ASSOCIATION OF MINING LAWYERS

The World Association of Mining Lawyers (WAOML) is a membership organization that provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, discussion, and debate of mineral law and policy to develop and form sensible regulatory guidance for the natural resource sector. The mission of the Association is to advance members’ knowledge of mineral regulation worldwide through the global participation of leading professionals, academics, and policy makers, fostering an informed understanding of legal issues related to mineral exploration and mining, and interacting with members in the exchange of ideas and the formation and strengthening of professional relationships. Membership is open to all in the legal profession, whether working for a law firm or in-house with a mining or service company. WAOML was founded by lawyers with a mining focus from a number of firms across the globe including Fasken, VdA, Norton Rose, Simmons & Simmons and Veirano.
