WEST AFRICAN CONSERVATION NETWORK (WACN)

West African Conservation Network (WACN) is a non-profit organization established by Patrick Ogbonnia Egwu, with a primary mission of preserving and restoring depleted wilderness areas. WACN is a not-for-profit organisation headquartered in the United Kingdom and Nigeria with a focus on securing, restoring, and making wilderness areas self-sufficient. WACN's mission is to secure, and restore depleted wilderness areas after having secured binding agreements with relevant government authorities whose jurisdiction the given wilderness area lies in. We restore by protecting the depleted wilderness area, and then reintroducing lost species with an aim to as much as possible, return the depleted wilderness area’s depleted biodiversity back to its original levels of intact biodiversity. WACN is currently collaborating with the Nigeria National Park Service to protect & secure the Kainji Lake National Park, Nigeria.
