Warrington Disability Partnership (WDP) is an internationally acclaimed user led charity which aims to relieve the needs of disabled people, their families and carers in England and Wales, through actively promoting independent living. They provide information on peer counselling, equipment, personal assistance, transport, access, employment, education, training and a range of other services. WDP offers a range of support to individual disabled people, their families and carers in the Warrington area, including general information and advice, a Centre for Independent Living, equipment showrooms, wheelchair and equipment loans, employment and training, a Shopmobility scheme, a Discover IT Training Suite, Direct Payments and Independent Living, Access and Training Consultancy, an Accessible Holiday Home and 'Wizard' Narrow Boat, opportunities for volunteering, a Disability Forum, leisure, recreation and sports, and a Market Information Point. WDP also organizes Disability Awareness Day and Northwest Positive Action Awards.
