WALLSEND BOYS CLUB

Wallsend Boys Club (WBC) was founded in 1904 by the employees & directors of Swan Hunters Shipyard to provide recreational activities for the apprentices and young people in the area. WBC is an English youth football club based in Wallsend, North Tyneside, known for producing professional footballers including Alan Shearer, Michael Carrick, Steve Watson, Alan Thompson, Robbie Elliott and Lee Clark. WBC delivers ‘more than football’ and offers young people the chance to achieve their potential through a broad and diverse range of activities and opportunities, including football development sessions, Squad Girls Football, Just Play, WILDCATS and PODS. Sporting Wallsend is the community activity brand offering new sports, social and wellbeing activities.
