THE INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY LTD

The Institute of Science & Technology (IST) is the professional body for specialist, technical, and managerial staff. Founded in 1948 as the Science Technologists Association, it was incorporated in 1954 as the Institute of Science Technology (IST) and in October 2007 became the Institute of Science & Technology. The IST provides support to technical practitioners, specialists and managers in the creative, digital, AI, engineering and science technologies, working across a broad range of sectors in the UK and overseas. The IST holds registers for AI professionals (RTechAI, RPAI, APAI) and Creative professionals (RPCiT) and is licensed by the Science Council to award science/technical registers at Chartered Scientist (CSci), Registered Scientist (RSci) and Registered Science Technician (RSciTech) levels.
