THE CULLOMPTON WALRONDS PRESERVATION TRUST

The Cullompton Walronds Preservation Trust (CWPT) is a building preservation trust whose general objective is to preserve buildings of historic or architectural interest in the parish of Cullompton. The Trust was formed in 1997 to preserve buildings of historic interest in Cullompton. The Walronds is a 16th Century family home which was fully restored in 2014 and has a garden and a café. The ground floor has two original panelled rooms, a commercial kitchen, toilets, and a meeting room. The garden is open to the public on most days. It is one of a chain of trusts associated through the UK Association of Preservation Trusts, helped and encouraged by the Architectural Heritage Fund (AHF). The Walronds offers rooms for hire for events and has a touch screen information centre about the town’s history.
