THE BIG HOUSE (IRELAND)

The Big House (Ireland) is a charity that works with young people (aged 11-18) on the island of Ireland, regardless of their background or beliefs, who are dealing with difficult issues or circumstances. They provide a counselling service, short-term residential youth programmes, and training and advice for youth leaders, church leaders, and parents. The Big House offers a place where young people can discover more of God’s love and hope in their life. Their programs include counselling services, weekend residential programmes, youth sessions, and resources like SHAKEN (a workbook and game for coping mechanisms) and STEADY (a bible based resource). They have a property in Limavady, close to the Roe Valley Park and north coast, and are developing facilities including accommodation and a meeting room. The primary area of benefit is the Island of Ireland.
