THE AXE VALLEY HERITAGE ASSOCIATION

The Axe Valley Heritage Association operates the Axe Valley Heritage Museum, which concentrates on the lower Axe Valley and adjacent villages of Beer, Axmouth, Branscombe, Colyton, and Colyford. The museum aims to advance the education of the public in Seaton, Colyton, Axmouth, and adjacent parishes in Devon, focusing on archaeology, history, geography, geology, natural history, architecture, and literature related to the area. The museum has a collection of local photographs, Roman artifacts, and other displays including Victorian costumes. Free entry is available. Operating hours are late May to October, Monday to Friday 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
