SEMA (Storage Equipment Manufacturers Association) is an organization committed to promoting and extending the safe design, installation, and use of storage equipment. SEMA works with the HSE, EU, and general public regarding storage equipment safety, providing training courses and Code of Practice documents. It is the leading voice for the storage equipment industry for over 50 years, providing guidance on best practices and influencing regulations within the UK and EU. SEMA offers guidance documents, Codes of Practice, and training initiatives, and also runs the SEIRS training program. The organization has developed SEMA Approved Installation Companies (SAICs) and SEMA Distribution Companies (SDCs) to ensure qualified providers. SEMA's mission is to promote the safe design, installation and use of storage equipment manufactured and supplied by its members.
