SCENE AND HEARD

Scene & Heard is a unique mentoring charity that partners the inner-city children of Somers Town, London with volunteer arts professionals. The aim is to boost confidence and raise aspiration through realizing young imaginations on and off the stage. It delivers drama and playwriting projects, working one-to-one, with the aim of boosting self-esteem, raising aspirations, improving literacy, social and communication skills. It has been a self-funding charity since its creation in 1999, relying on donations from trusts, foundations, corporations, and individuals. All courses, performances, and activities are free to ensure equal access. Scene & Heard is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
