RELEASE INTERNATIONAL

Release International is an international Christian ministry, based in the UK, which seeks to support Christians around the world who are persecuted for their faith. It provides practical and spiritual support to persecuted Christians overseas, and informs and educates the UK Church about the persecution of Christians overseas. Release International began in 1968, inspired by the life of Pastor Richard Wurmbrand who had been imprisoned and tortured in communist Romania. The work has since spread to many more countries and parts of the world, supporting pastors and Christian prisoners, and their families in around 30 countries. The charity's work also includes raising awareness, producing press releases, supporter stories, and prayer alerts.
