NOTTINGHAM COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTARY SERVICE

Nottingham Community and Voluntary Service (NCVS) is an infrastructure organisation that works to strengthen and sustain the voluntary sector across Nottingham and the neighbouring area. Our vision is a thriving voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE) in Nottingham that improves the quality of people's lives in the city. NCVS supports the sector through volunteering, voluntary sector development and providing a strategic voice. NCVS co-ordinates a range of projects aimed at improving outcomes for citizens in Nottingham - including the Practice Development Unit (PDU), which works in collaboration with the Changing Futures programme in Nottingham City to promote good practice, share expertise and offer learning opportunities to professionals and volunteers who work with people experiencing severe and multiple disadvantage (SMD). Founded in 1875, NCVS's vision is a thriving voluntary, community and social enterprise sector that improves the quality of people's lives in Nottingham.
