Newcastle Fitness College offers free funding for 16-18 year olds to complete a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport, Fitness and Personal Training. The course is a 2-year program, running 30 weeks a year, with only 2 days a week of attendance. The Further Education Programme provides males and females aged 16-18 with a strong interest in the fitness & leisure industry with a further education alongside gaining a valuable skill set, industry experiences and recognised qualifications in both gym instructing and personal training. Students who complete this further education course, alongside our Fitness & Leisure pathway will open opportunities to progress onto university, apprenticeships and employment, with a view of a future careers in the fitness, leisure and sport industry including personal training, gym instructing, sport science, teaching, community health and wellbeing, management and more… The course includes approved Gym Instructing & Personal Trainer Qualifications and is delivered by highly qualified tutors. The course also includes weekly professional development hours, which enables students to develop employability and important skills, contacts and experiences that can be transferable to any future career.
