Liverpool Citizen Advocacy (LCA) promotes a form of active citizenship, in which one member of the community makes a commitment to protecting and promoting the rights of another who is in a position of particular disadvantage and/or social exclusion. These rights-focussed relationships are what we call community or informal advocacy partnerships. The organization provides telephone support for people needing help with a problem and offers drop-in sessions at St Bede's on Thursdays from 12pm to 2pm. They focus on supporting people who are disabled and/or disadvantaged in the Liverpool area.
