Founded in 2004, Land and Minerals Consulting Ltd (LMCL) is an award-winning survey, geological, geotechnical, and hydrogeological consultancy. In 2006 the Company adopted the trading name QuarryDesign for its UK mining and quarrying sector consulting and in 2013 LMCL adopted the second trading name of DroneSurv for its uncrewed system surveys. LMCL specializes in the remote acquisition of survey, geological, geotechnical and hydrogeological data using the latest technology in terrestrial and drone mounted LiDAR, SONAR and Photogrammetric systems. LMCL produce PERC Standard Reserve and Resource Reports, Quarries Regulations Geotechnical Assessments and Designs, and Stability Risk Assessments for sites where an Environmental Permits as required by the Environment Agency. They also provide Due Diligence advice for mergers, acquisitions and disposals of quarry sites and businesses and act as Expert Witness. LMCL have undertaken projects for a wide range of industries including Quarrying Companies, Mining Companies, Construction Companies, Media Companies, Television & Film Companies, Property & Estate Management Companies, Local Government, The Gibraltarian Government, and the Ministry of Defence. LMCL were involved during the pre-production of HBO’s highly successful Game of Thrones series and have supplied the Extreme E (all electric-car rally) with full-colour, 3d surveys of all the race-tracks around the world.
