INSTITUTE OF SEARCH AND TECHNICAL RESCUE

The Institute of Search and Technical Rescue, formerly the Association for Search and Rescue, was established in 2013 as a not-for-profit professional body. The Institute promotes critical reflection, learning, and informal peer exchanges to improve service delivery and raise standards within the fields of Search and Technical Rescue. It aims to bring together practitioners and experts from across all sectors involved in search and rescue for the preservation of life. The Institute drives personal and team development, sets standards, and provides professional recognition. It offers accreditation to training providers and delivers rescue skills training. The Institute has undertaken capacity building and exchange of expertise projects in various countries.
