Dedicated to excellence in biomedical science since 1912, the IBMS promotes, develops, and delivers excellence in biomedical science within all aspects of healthcare. The IBMS provides professional standards and support to its members, sets quality standards for the profession, provides qualifications, publications, and training events. The IBMS also provides a voice for its members with policymakers and promotes the role of biomedical science in society. The IBMS is a UK registered charity. The majority of the members work in healthcare laboratories to identify, research, monitor and treat diseases.
