Housing Initiatives was set up as a voluntary not for profit company in July 2001, with the aim of providing tenancies to people with learning disabilities, to enable them to become established in the community, in their own homes and with regular support to enable them to do so. The organization operates as a social enterprise and is a registered charity. Founded by Alan Chesworth to provide a higher quality of service to adults with learning difficulties. Provides supported housing to people with learning disabilities and other vulnerable people in the Greater Merseyside area. We support our tenants to live happy and healthy lives. We support and help our tenants gain the confidence and life skills they need to realize their potential and build on the foundations for them to live a more independent life within the local community.
