HORSES AND PONIES PROTECTION ASSOCIATION (HAPPA) is a Registered Charity in England And Wales striving to improve and promote equine welfare through Rescue, Rehabilitation, Rehoming and Education. The charity owns a rescue centre in Lancashire, staffed by employees experienced in all aspects of horse welfare. At the year end, 67 equines were in residence in the centre and 256 equines were fostered in homes throughout the country. HAPPA also offers conference and meeting facilities, indoor arena hire, café and farm shop, tack and gift shop and regular events, including dressage.
