Hammersmith Medicines Research (HMR) is a clinical research organization (CRO) specializing in early clinical trials of study drugs for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies worldwide. Founded in 1993, HMR is one of the largest CROs of its kind in the UK and Europe. It has 270 staff, including a resident 24/7 resuscitation team, extensive purpose-built facilities, 145 beds, and on-site pharmacy, radiopharmacy, and laboratory. HMR provides a full service from design to clinical study report. HMR has completed over 900 trials and holds MHRA Phase 1 Accreditation for FIH trials, a Manufacturing and Import Licence for study drugs [MIA(IMP)], a Home Office licence for all controlled drug substances, and an Environment Agency licence for trials of radiolabelled study drugs. The Quality System is compliant with ISO 9001, the Laboratory with ISO 17025, and the Information Security Management System with ISO 27001.
