FRIENDS AND PLACES TOGETHER

Friends and Places Together is a small, Southend based charity helping vulnerable young people to see their friends or make new friendships outside of school and college. They provide opportunities for young people to socialize independently with others and their motto is “everyone has the right to have friends and a social life.” They offer support to young adults with learning disabilities, and provide activities such as football, bowling, cooking, shopping, go karting, cinema, gym, beauty, walking, gaming, swimming, snooker, pubs, crazy golf, adventure island, base jump and day trips and holidays. Services include Teenspirits for ages 16-19 and Over 18s services. The charity operates from a venue at the Victoria Shopping Centre with cooking and leisure space. The charity’s aim is to seek friendships for isolated and vulnerable people within the community.
