FOOD CIRCLE YORK CIC

Food Circle York CIC is a social enterprise dedicated to building a sustainable and fair food system. They operate markets at Tang Hall Community Centre on Wednesday evenings (5-6:30 pm) and Saturday mornings (10-11:30 am), offering fresh produce like fruit, vegetables, meat, bread, eggs, and dairy from small-scale producers. They also have a Chef who utilizes unsold produce to create preserves, pickles, and ferments. Food Circle supports long-term projects and initiatives like the monthly Producer Market, a Food Circle Egg Co-operative, a Harvest Project, and the York Orchard Co-op to strengthen their network of sustainable food producers.
