Equity Group Holdings Limited is a Pan-African financial services holding company listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange, Uganda Securities Exchange, and the Rwanda Stock Exchange. The Group has banking subsidiaries in Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, South Sudan, Tanzania, DRC, and a commercial representative office in Ethiopia. It has other subsidiaries in investment banking, insurance, telecom, fintech and social impact investments. Equity Group offers financial services to individuals, small and medium sized enterprises, and large enterprises in each of the banking subsidiaries. It operates in six geographical markets: Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Democratic Republic of Congo. Its mission is to offer integrated financial services that socially and economically empower consumers, businesses, enterprises and communities. Equity was founded in Kenya in 1984 as the Equity Building Society.
