ENTERPRISE FOR DEVELOPMENT

Enterprise for Development is a charity based in London, England. It focuses on supporting sustainable businesses that generate benefits for those on lower incomes, with a focus on businesses that generate high-impact and also have the potential to scale. The Enterprise Development Programme is a five-year programme funded by Access – The Foundation for Social Investment. It offers grant and learning support for charities and social enterprises to become more enterprising. The programme is managed by a coalition of partners. The Enterprise Development Programme piloted in the homelessness and youth sector in 2018 and has since expanded to include the equality, mental health, environmental, and Black & Minoritised communities sectors. The program aims to help charities and social enterprises in England to become more financially resilient by developing new enterprise models, or by growing existing ones.
