ENERGY ACTION SCOTLAND

Energy Action Scotland (EAS) is the national fuel poverty charity in Scotland, the only national charity with this sole remit. EAS campaigns for an end to fuel poverty in Scotland and aims to develop and promote effective solutions to the problem of cold, damp and expensive to heat homes. EAS provides advisors with the information they need to help their clients cope with rising fuel bills, debt and problems with their fuel supply. They develop and deliver projects that deliver improvements for households struggling to access essential amounts of energy, and provides energy efficiency and income maximisation advice for households, encourages eligible households to sign up for the Priority Services Register, raises awareness of carbon monoxide safety and providing free CO alarms to households most at risk of CO harm, providing emergency funding to households in fuel crisis, and training new energy advisors.
