Edinburgh Cine and Video Society (ECVS) is a charity established in 1936 (originally Waverley Cine Society) dedicated to supporting amateur filmmaking, both digital and analogue, and promoting film appreciation. ECVS offers a creative space for film enthusiasts with workshops, screenings (including its own cinema), and events. They provide access to filmmaking resources. ECVS also organizes regular screenings of classic and contemporary films, as well as special events such as Q&A sessions. ECVS supports amateur filmmakers and has been dedicated to supporting amateur film making and promoting film appreciation for over 85 years.
