The business was initially owned by Michael Taylor & Malcolm Beresford, who grew it from a reclaimed door outlet into the retail unit Chesterfield has known and loved for many years. Mark Smith took over the business with over 35 years within the building and construction industry. The company focuses on providing high-quality, affordable timber internal and external doors to a wide audience. They also aim to provide excellent customer service. They are a one-stop shop, supplying brands and a range of products including door handles, internal and external doors, pocket doors, and composite doors. They are available to both trade and retail customers. They support the local community and are sponsors of Dronfield Town U9 Blacks Boys team. Door Distributors stocks several FSC certified brands. The showroom is open Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:30pm, and on Saturday between 9:00am and 2:00pm.
