CROSS LANES ORGANIC FARM LIMITED

Cross Lanes Organic Farm is a family-run farm shop, cafe, and butchery located just outside Barnard Castle on the A66. They offer organic grass-fed beef, pork and lamb. They are winners of the 'National Local Food & Drink Award' Countryside Alliance. The farm shop stocks an extensive range of products including organic, locally produced and many healthy, dietary alternatives. They also sell an extensive range of Chef's frozen nutritious ready meals, along with freshly baked bread, cakes, traybakes and biscuits. The restaurant offers high quality homemade organic food and is located beneath a glazed atrium overlooking the Teesdale countryside. The site has a greenhouse used to grow lots of produce for the restaurant and also offers an Education centre. Cross Lanes is a family run business, owned by Peter and Sue Coverdale. Their daughter Stevie is a chef and along with Emily the Head Chef, they run the organic kitchen with their busy team. Stevie is married to Simon Hare who farms with his father John and Uncle at Trees House Farm and Dent House Farm, Brignall, their land joins Cross Lanes. Simon’s sister Debs Hare is the Manager of Cross Lanes.
