COLNE VALLEY RAILWAY PRESERVATION LTD

The Colne Valley Railway is a heritage steam & diesel railway in Essex near Sible Hedingham, Castle Hedingham & Halstead. It hosts a full scale railway, 7¼ gauge miniature and model railway, as well as one of the few publicly accessible signal boxes. It hosts a large and varied collection of vintage steam and diesel engines, carriages, and wagons that represent much of our railway heritage. Our entrance is located on the A1017 midway between the villages of Castle Hedingham and Great Yeldham, with a large free parking area. The railway also features a working Signalbox, a Post Office Sorting Train, The Tierney Model Railway Shed, a Coffee Shop, and a Gift Shop and Reception Building.
