The College of Operating Department Practitioners (CODP) is the professional body for Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs). It is the recognised Professional Body for Operating Department Practitioners. CODP is now an independent standalone professional body. The new organisation aims to: Be the recognised professional body managed by ODPs, for ODPs. Represent the profession at a national and international level. Hold the educational curriculum for the profession and be the recognised authority for the professional education. Drive research to support the development of the profession and contribute to specific the body of knowledge. Drive CODP members’ professional development through a career framework and a robust Continuous Professional Development (CPD) offer. Promote best clinical practice for patients and services. Offer professional/clinical advice to members, including on an individual basis.
