CENTRAL BRITISH FUND FOR WORLD JEWISH RELIEF(THE)

World Jewish Relief is the UK Jewish community's international development and humanitarian agency. It tackles Jewish poverty and reaches beyond its community. It creates opportunities for those out of work to become self-reliant, brings dignity to the elderly, provides assistance to refugees, and responds to international disasters. It was established in 1933 to help refugees from Nazi-Europe and brought around 65,000 Jewish refugees to safety. The charity supports Jewish communities in crisis worldwide, with a focus on older Jews of the Survivor Generation, employment and livelihoods, and supporting refugees in the UK.
