It operates from a 93-acre site brickwork based in Barnsley, Yorkshire, and manufactures up to 37 million wirecut bricks per annum. It is part of Michelmersh Group, and the acquisition increased Michelmersh's output to over 100 million bricks per annum. Carlton's products are currently manufactured in accordance with the requirements of British Standard BS EN 771-1, are F2 rated and fully frost resistant, and comply with ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental and ISO 50001 Energy management systems. Products also comply with the BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing standard.
