Care & Repair Western Bay provides a range of advice services for older people in the Swansea and Neath Port Talbot areas. They offer a home-visiting service that combines social care related individual assessment and values linked to dignity, care and respect, to the technical expertise required for managing building work. Their core function is to provide a housing related home-visiting service. They provide home adaptations, repairs, and improvements to homes, assisting older people in living independently as long as possible. The agency was formed in January 2017 and is an amalgamation of the former agencies of Neath Port Talbot and Swansea. Care & Repair Western Bay aims to relieve the needs of older people in the locality who are disadvantaged by reason of health, ill-age or disability, by the provision of support, assistance, facilities, amenities and services to such people in respect of their housing.
