BUY LAND PLANT TREES CIC

Buy Land Plant Trees (BLPT) is a Community Interest Company (CIC) that buys agriculturally unproductive land to plant trees, mitigate flooding, and boost biodiversity. BLPT was set up by Sally Phillips of Chimney Sheep. The CIC aims to create a sustainable landscape by planting a mosaic of plant species including trees, scrub and other vegetation on land that has been abandoned or is difficult to make agriculturally productive. BLPT is "asset locked", meaning any donations and all the fields and woodlands created remain in ownership of the company permanently. The idea is to create veteran trees and a self-sustaining ecosystem to provide homes for wildlife.
