BA Avionic Engineering is an avionics component maintenance facility located in South Wales, operational since 1993. It has 142,000 sq ft of floor space and 78,000 repairs/overhauls are completed annually. The facility has a modern facility and holds 40,000 breakdown spares on site. The facility continually reviews the reliability of products they handle and looks to improve it at any opportunity. Several OEMs have added these improved repair schemes into their own manuals as they have proven to be so reliable. Services include component overhaul avionics, including flight management computers, navigation, comms and radio, electrical systems and lighting, electrical motors and actuators, loom manufacture, instrumentation test equipment and repair, engine controls, galley catering equipment, air data systems, passenger systems and IFE. Aircraft coverage includes Airbus 318, 319, 320, 321, and Boeing 737, 747, 767, 777 – most engine variants.
