ASSOCIATION FOR ENVIRONMENT CONSCIOUS BUILDING

The Association for Environment Conscious Building (AECB) is the leading network for sustainable building professionals in the United Kingdom. It is a membership network with the aim of promoting green, low energy, sustainable building. The AECB is a network of individuals and companies with a common aim of promoting sustainable building. It brings together contractors, trades people, self builders, architects, designers, engineers, manufacturers, housing associations, local authorities and academics to help develop, share, train and promote sustainable building best practice. AECB's mission is to inspire, develop and share sustainable building practice. The AECB vision is a world in which everyone in the building industry contributes positively to human and planetary health. The AECB was established in 1989 as the Association of Environment Conscious Builders (later, the Association for Environment Conscious Building) to increase awareness within the construction industry of the need to respect the environment.
