Amy Burger is an experienced breast cancer surgeon who has worked as a Consultant Oncoplastic surgeon in the NHS for a decade, performing a large range of procedures on the breast and axillary lymph nodes to offer her patients the best surgical outcome for their cancer. Amy is experienced in fat transfer techniques, using this method routinely to improve breast contour after reconstruction and lumpectomy for cancer. Amy will bring this experience to the aesthetic side with fat transfer for modest breast enhancement. Amy completed senior surgical training as an Oncoplastic breast fellow prior to her consultant post, achieving experience and independent practice in both reconstructive and aesthetic work. She is experienced in fat transfer techniques, using this method routinely to improve breast contour after reconstruction and lumpectomy for cancer. Amy will bring this experience to the aesthetic side with fat transfer for modest breast enhancement. Amy introduced an independent reconstructive service to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after commencing her consultant post in 2013. Whether that is through reshaping the breast after a lumpectomy, or performing reconstructive surgery after mastectomy, the aim is to come through cancer treatment with the aesthetic outcome that the patient aspires to. She uses Motiva silicone implants, known for their natural feel and shape, and low rates of capsular contracture. Amy is delighted to be able to now be in the position to offer breast reduction surgery as a private operation. For patients who do not need to reduce volume but simply need an uplift, a mastopexy can restore a more youthful silhouette. Depending on the patients tissues, an uplift can be combined with an implant to breast more volume and projection.
