Age UK Bexley is an independent, local charity working throughout the London Borough of Bexley to support older people, their families and carers. They have been working in the local community to help older people for 30 years. Age UK Bexley is a specialist charity working with people and their families over the age of 50. They offer a range of services and support that improve life chances and opportunities for older people in their later years. They provide a range of interventions directly to older people and offer support to their families, carers and loved ones that underpin their continued independence, dignity and financial security. They provide opportunities for social activities, respite care, day care, income support, befriending and health and wellbeing services. The objectives of the charity are to prevent or relieve poverty amongst older people; to prevent or relieve sickness, disease or suffering in older people; to promote equality and diversity; to promote the human rights of older people and to assist older people in need by reason of ill-health, social exclusion or other disadvantage
