Age Concern Orpington & District is a not for profit, charitable company which provides day care services at the Saxon Day Centre for elderly members of the local community. The Saxon Day Centre is a friendly, mainstream day care centre located in central Orpington close to the High Street and local facilities. The Saxon Day Centre is located in central Orpington and has provided care and support for older people in the local community for over 40 years. We cater for elderly clients, including those who are physically frail and or have early stage dementia and who are in need of a day out from their home. Our mission is to provide high quality, dignified care and a range of person-centred activities, at an affordable price, that support the physical and mental well-being of our clients by reducing loneliness and enabling individuals to maintain their independence within a safe environment. We offer free taster day visits. Our vision is to maintain and extend our offer beyond the day care centre to provide valued services that meet the demand of older people living in Orpington and nearby communities. We are a stand-alone organisation, dependant on income generated by the Saxon Day Centre and are immensely grateful to benefactors and members of the local community for kind donations.
