AGE CONCERN (HERNE BAY)

Age UK Herne Bay & Whitstable is an independent charity with its own constitution and funding administered by locally appointed Trustees. Age UK is the UK's largest organisation working for and on behalf of older people. Age UK Herne Bay was established as an independent charity in 1946 and since then has always moved with the times. In 2018 we extended our area of benefit and began to also deliver services to residents in Whitstable. Today we continue to support older people from Reculver through to Seasalter as well as the outlying villages. We operate two centres in Herne Bay, the Bradbury Day Centre and the Hazel Neville Dementia Care Unit both at our site in Reculver Road Beltinge. Other services are delivered in venues in Whitstable and Herne Bay as well as in clients own homes. Age UK Herne Bay & Whitstable has achieved the Organisational Quality Standards (OQS) for local Age UKs in England. The OQS are assessed externally and endorsed by the Charity Commission. Age UK Herne Bay & Whitstable has achieved theAge UK Charity Quality Standard (CQS). The CQS is externally assessed by quality assessment experts, SGS.
